Who we are
This site belongs to the Cusano family — Linda and Collin, the adults behind The Cusanos. We're a family sharing our life, not a media company with a data department, and this policy is written the way we'd explain it to a friend.
What we collect, and when
Only what you choose to type into our two forms:
- The contact form — your name, email address, what your note is about, and the message itself.
- The email list — your email address.
That's the complete list. No accounts, no comments, no purchases happen on this site, so there's nothing else to collect.
How it's handled
Forms are processed by Netlify, the service that hosts this site, and delivered to our family inbox. We use what you send to reply to you, or to send you the occasional email you signed up for. Netlify stores submissions as part of providing the service, under its own privacy policy.
What we never do
- We never sell your information, to anyone, for anything.
- We never share your details with brands or partners.
- We never sign you up for anything you didn't ask for.
Cookies and tracking
Our own code sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. One honest technical note: this site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when a page loads — that request is governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours. If we ever add analytics, this page will say so plainly before it happens.
Affiliate links
Some links on our Family Favorites page will be affiliate links. If you click one, the retailer's site may set its own cookies to credit the referral — that happens on their site, under their policy. We disclose affiliate relationships on every page that carries them, and sponsored content is always marked #ad.
Our daughter's privacy
We share Amelia by her first name only. We don't publish identifying details — no birthdate, no locations tied to her, no school, no routine. Her parents, Linda and Collin, are the named contact for anything involving her, and we ask press, brands and anyone resharing our content to hold the same line. If you see our content reproduced in a way that breaks it, please tell us.
Children
This site is written by adults, for adults, and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has submitted our form, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link that works the first time. You can also write to us any time to ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted — we'll do it, and confirm.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything material gets said in plain language, not buried. Questions? The contact form reaches the two people responsible.
